Anthropology Reference Set

The new, color-illustrated, 5-volume Encyclopedia of Anthropology, edited by H. James Birx, is now available in our Reference Collection. The library has many other sets of encyclopedias in specialized subject areas, including literature, nursing, criminal justice, and music.

Holiday Closure

Photocopiers in Library

Need to do some photocopying? The library has two black-and-white copy machines that cost $.10/page. They accept coins and $1 and $5 bills. One of the machines has an automatic page feeder and can make double-sided copies; the other machine is specifically configured to copy from books conveniently.

Database Open House

Faculty and staff are invited to a database open house in the Library classroom (Parks 104) on Thursday, May 18 from 12-2pm. Come to this informal, drop-in event to enjoy snacks, play with our latest databases, and catch up with your colleagues. There will be a door prize, handouts, and other give-aways.

Library Hours

As midterms, papers, projects, and final exams loom, keep in mind the library is open Saturdays (except for some holiday weekends, such as Memorial Day) from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays are quieter than the rest of the week, so study rooms, computers, and research assistance are readily available.

Group Study Rooms

Ongoing Book Sale

The library holds an ongoing book sale with proceeds going to the EvCC Foundation’s Library account. Hardcover books are $1, paperbacks $ .50, and magazines $ .25 –unless otherwise marked.
The book sale shelves are located in the periodical reading area. Come find a good book to read and support the library!
